Main Highway under way

Featured Replies

Looks like we're both waiting for a ride for our cars to Sheerness then. emoticon-0144-nod.gif

The Schelde Highway is due out to Grimsby, Neckar Highway is en route to Grimsby, so looks like Grimsby is going to get a few cars then. lol

We sure are! I can however not find a Schelde Highway listed anywhere?

It's now saying 'Port of Exit - Released' on your order. Which I think means your Yeti is actually on a boat!

Oh Yesssss! B)

Yes, I donned my Ship Spotters anorak earlier in the week (you Yeti guys started it though :) ). Schelde Highway should have brought my Superb to Grimsby from Emden earlier in the week on her voyage Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully my new car won't be sat around in Grimsby for too long.

Best regards

David

Not long now to wait then boys emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Mine is due for build in week 46, confirmed today by James.

Seen that the Ems Highway is en route to Sheerness right now, due in midday tomorrow. Sheerness did have another of the "Highway" ships in yesterday, but this came from Vigo via Zeebrugge, so guessing that held Seat cars.

The Thames Highway is next due for a stop in Sheerness tomorrow. emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

And on the other side of the harbout is both the Schelde and Main Highways both heading for Grimsby. Lets hope that backlog of cars parked in Emden will soon be cleared.

I guess the dockside in the UK is going to need one or two transporters then. ;)

James gave me an update today, Status 39 - Shipped, which I guess means its on the water towards Sheerness!

I phoned SUK and they said my car is sitting in Emden since Friday... So my monster is admiring the German sea air waiting for this storm to pass before setting foot on anything that floats!

I don't know how long mine was in Emden, but I guess it must have been on the Thames Highway, as its now status 40 - Arrived in UK.

Hopefully yours won't be too far behind Johann.

Does anyone have any idea how long they are sitting at Emden before shipping, mine was on route too Emden on Saturday..

Not long now hopefully.

Mine sat at Emden for nearly a week.

Must say that the last bit of the wait was the worse, so near yet so far, but when it arrives you'll be mightily impressed, these are one heck of a great car.

Must admit I cant wait to get behind the wheel,.

dealer reckoned 2/3 wks to reach me from build, fingers crossed

Nice to see more people nearing the end of the journey.

I wish you all the best of luck ..... the waiting is well worth it.

I am looking forward to seeing more around. (mine emoticon-0140-rofl.gif in a few weeks)

I've seen a told of nil for the last couple of months.

I suspect it might be Loadswine's I see first, when he rubs my nose in itemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

It is good to hear that they are coming through now.

Good luck to everybody with their new arrivals.

My Yeti (that I will be calling Kevin after the flightless bird in the film UP) was built 7th December and 10 days ago was en-route to Emden.

My dealer has told me this afternoon that Kevin arrived at Emden on or before last Thursday the 16th.

Now, tracking the 'Highways' here;- http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?mmsi=212204000&centerx=7.121418&centery=53.33216&zoom=10&type_color=7 it appears that Thames Highway is currently en-route to Sheerness.

Might Kevin be on board? Is there any way of checking other than pestering my dealer or ringing Skoda UK?

Fingers crossed

Spoke to my dealer today, after their weekly check, and Kevin is now listed as 'Port of Entry (Sheerness)'.

Can't be long now, but guess it will be sometime next week (with the New Year hols) before I get to see Kevin.
