Replacing wing mirror

Featured Replies

Morning,

I checked the search and couldn't find anything.

Does anyone have a guide to replacing a wing mirror as a whole?

I'm thinking removing the door card and tweeter to access a bolt (? does it exist) to undo to remove the old wing mirror and disconnect the electrics?

Thanks

Matt

anyone?? someone must have tried it?

As I remember after removing the door card and speaker there is a big bolt, the bolt is a big torx one as I remember, maybe T30

i invested in a set or torx bits when i removed the seats for cleaning so thats sorted. i just needed a sense check before the swearing begins taking the door car off!

thanks

yeah, easy enough. bit of effort getting the tweater off and trip to halfords for a 1/4 to 1/2 inch drive and all sorted.

good job i remembered to reconnect the door handle cable, because that would be very annoying as i'm now opening the door for the girlfriend, she thinks its very gentlemenly!
