Fitting Rear Speakers to a Felicia Classic Hatch

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have recently become an owner of a pretty much mint condition Felicia Classic.

I was wondering if anyone on here had ever fitted rear speakers to a Felicia Hatch and if so how they did it? I'm very keen on doing it and any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Sean

you could fit speakers in the parcel shelf, just make sure you reinforce it otherwise itl vibrate like anything!

i put better speakers in the front doors, mounted the original speakers in the parcel shelf and sub in boot, no amp yet..

there are cables/connectors for rear speakers, but they only run as far as the corner kick panels under the dash on each side, will have to extend them down the length of the car yourself

reinforce.. or wedge a sponge down the side of it. works for me :)

just noticed you are from solihull, you probably seen my felly around

hi

i fitted rear parcel shelp speakers.

just use a piece of mdf , plywood or chipboard. make sure it's thick though then cover it with foam and cloth.

don't use the original parcel shelf as it will sound rubbish. and you will also ruin it if you want to change it back later.

i also bought my speakers from halfords and paid them £20 for their guys to wire it in after i mounted the speakers myself. they use another company who come to you. you need the speaker wire they don't provide ay spares.

use the parcel shelf as a template to cut the wood to the right size and the peakers will come with a paper template to cut the holes make sure to photocopy it in case you make a mistake and ruin it.

thanks

the speaker wires for the rear (even on the hatch and pickup!) are wired through to the kick panel at the bottom of the a pillar so it saves you having to run wires through the dash

i installed 5 3/4" speakers all arround in the back i made a neat perfect circle glued a wooden spacer, applyed 2 sided tape (to seal the rim and tighnen the speakers well, i used 60watts speakers and ran the with the radio (cutting base) with a set of tweeters, and my sound is crispt and no distortion at full volume

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, sorry for not having got back on sooner...

For those who have also fitted subs, where/how do you feed the power cables through from the battery?

Cheers,

Sean

well i did it the gash way, from the fuse box...

hey

Im thinking of getting 2 6x9's and a sub and amp for the back and replacing the front speakers with a couple of decent speakers as my stereo has 4x50 watt output :) im thinking of mouting the speakers into a couple thin boxes so i can remove them if i need the boot space

Dave

you could run the power cable from the battery through the bulkhead, there's a rubber grommet where the steering column goes through on the left hand drive models which isn't used. drill a hole in the centre of the rubber then poke the cable through... use a nice big 4awg cable with an in-line fuse to the battery... for the earth you could use a large ring terminal under one of the rear seatbelt mounting bolts

yep probably best do that, its less risky! lol
