My first Skoda and it's a VRS

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, Google has just brought me to your door. Well earlier today (well yesterday now) I picked up my first Skoda, a 2004 Fabia VRS and all I can say is WOW. It's a 2nd car for me and my wife and didn't know what quite to expect took it for a test drive and haven't wanted to get out of it since. First thing i it requires a good detail, interior and exterior hopefully tomorrow (or later on today now), the seats will take some cleaning unfortunately. Second thing, I would like cruise control and although more than competent, I need it sooner rather than later so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated on that one. :)

Plenty of places retro-fit cruise control for around £200

Hi and welcome aboard.

Hello tramman and welcome along

Hope that I am as happy as you when I get mine :)

Get a quote fotr the cruise at the main dealer. You may be surprised

at how inexpensive it is. Some Fabias don't suppport cruise control though be warned. .

Start a new thread asking the specific question over in Fabia 1 and

you'll get a wealth of ireplies before you know it.

Welcome aboard, enjoy the Furby.

Thanks all for the welcome, second day of ownership and I am loving it

I assume they're the standard vRS part leather, part suede seats?

For the leather bit I can highly recommend (I use the following on my Jag, which has Ivory leather and a nightmare to keep clean, my Octy estate which arrives 1 Nov also has cream leather too!):

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/gliptone-liquid-leather-cleaner/prod_211.html

massaged in with one of these - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/leather-cleaning-brush/prod_334.html

then to finish, wipe over with - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/gliptone-liquid-leather-conditioner/prod_210.html

which not only nourishes and protects the leather, but gives it that new car/leather smell (yes I am a bit of a detailing geek!). The cleanyourcar site is great, they offer a points/postage discount with your next order and to finish, every time it arrives there's a little hand signed chit saying 'thank for your order' - a rarity in this day & age!

Unfortunately they're the fabric seats as fitted as standard
