How do I change this over folks?!

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Well my new motor is almost a day old now. Just getting to grips with it.

Noticed the MFD has a digital speed readout which is in KM/H. Tried to change it to MPH but could'nt seem to find where the option was in the maxi-dot.

Any ideas anyone? I would much prefer this in MPH! :'(

No idea

HTH ;)

I do not think you can change it over as it is some euro thing that you need km/h somewhere on the display (and it has been removed from the dial).

As said you can't.

As the mechanical speedometer doesn't display kmh It has to be displayed elsewhere.

Correct, it cannot be done.

Both MPH and KM/H must be displayed at all times. As KM/H is not on the speedo it has to be presented on the electronic display instead.

I like the cleaner look dial with only mph :)

Oh well. At least I know now. Sanity restored.

Thanks for the heads up folks. B)

Yes you can, you must have the speed control activated on the maxidot.

Thats to let you know what´s the speed you are going if you come to europe.

If I Activate mine it would show in MPH.

Yes, but your speedo is in KM/H already, hence you have MPH on the digital display.

The point is you can't have the speedo and digital display showing the same measure.

Looks like the end of this thread then :)

On a UK car the speed permanently shows KMH and it cannot be switched off or altered. We dont have the speed control option in our UK maxidot displays.

Yes mine is set to Km/h ( big numbers) and then shows mph ( small numbers ) if speed control activated

On the foto on top he has set mph ( big numbers) and like foto shows km/h ( small) if speed control activated.

That´s why he needs to untick the speed control function.

Even if the speed warning is turned off its still going to show kmh when you set off on UK dashes.

My Ibiza is exactly the same.

Sorry didn´t know

Anyway here´s a couple of shots, taken now. Just like to say that if I set the speed control display the big number does not show. ( I tought it did but was wrong)

Are you sure that displaying both speeds at once is correct?

Wife's Yaris only shows MPH, you just press a button to change the display to show KPH, you certainly can't have them both displayed at once!

Like that why can't the maxidot just change the displayed speed as and when you require?

I mentioned in an earlier thread that the option was available on my car's maxidot menu when I first got it, just as shown in the photos in the previous reply, but it disappeared soon after.
