Fabia VRS Radiator fans stuck on!?

Used my car today 05 Fabia vrs no problems. Had a heavy downpour of rain and when i stopped i noticed my radiator fans were on. Thought nothing of it until two hours later tried to start car, battery flat. I've now noticed that the fans are stuck on all the time which is draining the battery. Any ideas, i'm thinking some water may have got in somewhere?
