Oil Change Woes.. PDI100

Featured Replies

I was in the process of changing my oil this morning and thought I'd get away without buying a 36mm socket for the top of the oil filter cover...Umm.. now I have a small hole in the cover that leaks and neither Chemical Metal or Araldite has stopped it. So off to the dealer tomorrow, but does anyone know if the cap is sold separately and the rough cost?

And yes, I did end up going out and getting the correct socket :wall:

Thank!

Should be a separate part but no idea on cost. I would expect anything over £10 to be a rip-off.

Bit of a stupid thing to do you now gotta buy a new oil filter holder and a 36mm socket

It is available separately and IIRC it is about £20.

The part code is stamped into the plastic and should be 045 115 433
