Fixed Price Servicing

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Having collected my new car last friday. I was offered the fixed price servicing and maintenance plan with the Dealer.

Based on my annual mileage of approx 9,000, the quote for fixed proce servicing for three years comes out at £16 a month.

All oils, labour and parts is included for the duration and is also includes an MOT at the end of the three years.

Only thing not included is the tyres.

So its £576 all in.

Isn't one service either the second or third a big one?

Not decided yet. Have a month to make my mind up.

Anyone else on it? What do we think?!

The fourth service is the most expensive one, with the first and third being chep ones.

At that price I woulnd't go for it - just put the money in a savings account.

I am pondering the same issue.

My dealer (DM Keith, Bradofrd) seems a little cheaper than yours! 3 year plan at £15 per month for up to 12,000 per year for my 1.8TSi DSG.

I am on the brink of going for it!

Think I'm gonna go for this. Three services plus any parts and an MOT at year 3 will surely be more than the £576 I will be paying on this deal. Especailly as VAT is going up too.

I went for it, some 2 years ago. I worked on the basis that it covers everything except tyres, so I could go back for anything from a blown bulb upwards. £14 odd a month for my 1.9tdi 4x4. I see it just the same as insurance. you very rarely claim on your insurance, but if you need it......
