Yeti in Kernow

Featured Replies

Well I've just added a pile of miles onto the Yeti last week, having spent a week staying down in Cornwall to see out daughter and being an "emmett".

Very satisfied with the towing capacity of our 140. I know that our 'van is only light at a max 1100kg and we don't take a lot, but I was surprised how easily it coped, even using 6th on the motorway. You do need to change down into 5th for some of the hills, but that isn't a great hardship. Stability was excellent. I set the ball weight at just 75kg and upped the rear tyre pressures to 42psi and even at the occasional "slip" over the speed limit all felt very stable. Fuel consumption worked out at just under 30mpg with the 'van on the back. Better than the previous Freelander!!

Two problems have raised their heads:

one of the reversing sensors has disappeared inside the bumper, so the car is going in on Friday for that to be sorted out.

the front of the van was splattered with sheep poo from the farm yard access to the camp site, so rear mudflaps are on order

Where are the pics Graham?! :) I'd like to see your Yeti with the van.

Didn't end up taking any!!

Took my camera and then found I'd forgotten to take the battery charger, so all I ended up with was one of the car on the front opposite St Micheals Mount!

Wot a pr@t!!

Edit:

'van is an Adria Altea 360LT. Little 2 berth we bought brand new last year whilst on holiday.
