Removing Jabba rear ARB?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The vRS was traded in yesterday so i'm going to be removing all my mods over the next week or so. One thing to come off is the Jabba rear ARB. I had it fitted orignally by Jabba when i went down to buy it but what i want to know is how easy is it to remove????

If it's an easy job i'll have a look at doing it myself if possible i have a couple of Fabia car jacks and a couple of axle stands available to me but is there a guide as to how to remove it anywhere.

Sorry if it's been asked before but i've had a look around and a search on here but can't find owt.

Cheers

Dave.

Given how tight it was to fit the clamps around the rear beam In the first place, I reckon it'll practically fall off when the clamps are undone. Then remove bolts from rear strut and you're away.

Is it up for sale???

Very easy Dave

There are two greased plastic collars with exhaust clamps that are wrapped around the rear supension beam. The ends are bolted to the bottom of the shocks

Jack it up and remove all the bolts on the clamps ans shocker bases . Really easy..Honest

I want it!

Well there's the confirmation guys..... Looks like it's found a new home. ;)

Now if we don't manage to remove it and re-fit it we'll never live it down according to the posts above about it being an easy job.

Yes if the hacksaws and sledgehammers come out, we should probably question if we should really be attempting this B)

you will love it softscoop!

The Jabba RARB totally transforms the car and imo is the very best mod you can add to a Fabia. B)

I would advise that you purchase two new mikalor clamps in advance (Jabba will deliver them to you for £14), as depending how long the bar has been fitted to WD's car, the originals may not be looking too healthy.

Well looks like someone buying a used 2006 Fabia vRS will be getting a free ARB.

Things didn't go to plan. The nuts have rusted onto the bolts and they're not going anywhere!!!!

Try harder!!!!

Try harder!!!!

We twisted the banding through nearly 90 degrees we were pulling that hard on it!!! :o

Chop bolts off with a cutter and buy new bolts? Or hacksaw brackets off if you can buy new ones?

Agreed, I'm sure you could cut through the mikalor clamps.

As previously mentioned I would advise fitting new clamps when fitting a RARB.

Shame to give it away to someone who probably doesn't even appreciate what it is!

If i can find someone with a trolley jack in the Sheffield area i might pop the car back up and just hacksaw the banding off on that side.

Now to find someone in Sheffield with a trolley jack. :S

***EDIT*** Looks like i've found someone so this time it's coming off!!!!!!!!

Finally got the bloody thing off this afternoon round at Damo's.

HUGE thanks to him for helping out. Ended up hacksawing the dodgy clamp off and it's now off the car and waiting for someone to buy it.

It was short and sweet wasn't it. :)

Had to get away to get back over to Sheffield to get the ARB off.
