Fabia 1.6 tiptronic

Hi. We have just acquired a 2010 10 plate Fabia 1.6 tiptronic. It's the level 1 version. I used to have a Rover auto which showed the gear it was in on the dashboard display. This Fabia isn't showing this, and I have to check on the gearstick to ensure I'm in Drive and not sport mode. Should the level 1 have the dashboard display, or is that reserved for the level 2 and 3 version? I've read the handbook, but of course it covers all versions, and it's difficult to see what the level one should be. Many thanks.
