I have TFSI VRS estate '06. Am i doing something daft or are there known probs with the door lock/unlock switch between the seats? the system engages and locks the doors when first moving but i cannot seem to unlock without key out engine off? This is a real pain say when dropping someone off etc etc... also worried that the system currently wont release door locks in an accident... i have looked in manual but no real info.... also tried pressing button twice etc etc to no avail? getting annoying now!

any ideas out there?

Happened in our old octy vrs pd 58 plate. Drove me and the wife up the wall. Took it into the dealership to get fixed and of course they couldnt find the fault - no surprise there then!.Car still had the fault when we traded it in for the new one. Touch wood new one hasnt had it yet but I wouldnt be surprised if it did go. Known fault according to posts on here.

Great! will have a hunt about the forum and see what i can find... its driving me nuts! might be just the rocker switch I guess.... havent tried the stealers yet... i guess it doesnt generate a fault code?

I had the switch changed on my 07 plate VRs, dealer changed it under warranty after it was diagnosed on the test kit (generates a code so they can claim the labour under warrnaty as i had to wait 45 mins even though i told them and showed them).
