Hello and help

Featured Replies

Hello to all. I have just bought my first Skoda. Very much better than the one I worked on in the late 70's.

Very pleased with it so far. Now to sort out a few little problems:

1/ One of the rear doors does not open or lock with key, central locking. Guess its a wire breakage or something.

2/ Rear (estate) courtesy lights are on all the time. They were disconnected. can't find a switch as they appear independant to front lights.

3/ Cigar lighter fuse was blown. It turned out to be a short in the lighter unit itself (very strange) now replacing it with a power socket instead.

4/ It needs new tyres, more expense!.

5/ It looks like there could be radio speaker apertures to the rear of back seat (estate), will investigate

Sorted out some

2/ - I put a "mercury" level switch in, so when tailgate opens the lights come on.

1/ The door electrical joint has broken wires in, looks a pain to repair- Any suggestions?
