Paddle shift

Featured Replies

Simple question requiring a simple yes/no answer - the Yeti DSG has full auto and sequential mode via the stick - does it also have the paddle shift option ? Thinking no.

You're right - no!

You're right - no!

Cheers for the confirmation, thought so.

It's such a shame the paddle shift is not an option.

When I bought the Tig, it wasn't an option, I think it is now....

So I hope Skoda don't follow suit and as soon as I have bought a Yeti DSG model, without paddles, they too add it as an option!

I think it's a thing if you haven't had them you cannot understand why you need them, but if y ou have had them, as I did on my RAV, you really do miss them.

The paddle shift can be retro fitted, have a look at member 137699 thread on Yeti project journals called my marmite Yeti. I also think there is a separate thread on how he fitted it.

Just done a search and Rockhopper did the retro fit as well. One was pre F/L and the other (137699) was F/L. HTH

I want to get this done asap after taking delivery of my new Yeti. At the moment I can't see how to source and select a steering wheel with the right spec and look (stitching and finish) to replace the original.

Yes I have paddleshift on my Yeti. Steering wheel sourced from Skodadop but Superskoda also sell them.

I would not be without it.

I retro fitted a vRs wheel with paddles, I coded the paddles with VDCS in 2 minutes. Just take care removing the airbag, remove the battery beforehand.

It's worthwhile of you like overriding the DSG, as I do on odd occasions.

Just note that to get the type approval for such a steering wheel from your insurance will be quite a faff...  This steering wheel has never been standard on ANY Yeti.  So it might fit, it might be a Škoda wheel, but it is not quite as easy (legally) as one might think to fit it.  See Rockhopper's experience with that.

Hi have DSG Auto and  have no problems moveing mine to the left of Drive, and useing as a Manual which I do prefer under 70/80KM per hour,

Over That I move it to D Auto , keep my hand on my left knee and drive above 75/80 KM hour in auto. So it don't try to shift to Nuteral /Referse.
