mk2 octavia vrs tdi

Featured Replies

First of all I would like to say any advice is welcome as I want to get to the bottom of these few problems so here goes....

I've had my fair share of troubles with the petrol version so decided to move on to a diesel only problem is that is throws out plenty of blue smoke when it is idling on start up.... some days it runs rough I put this down to the dpf ( the car is not made for short runs....or so I have been told by the dealer) :(

Now I've checked the oil level on the car and it is slightly over the maximum mark (previous owner a moron obviously) I been thinking that is why the car has been smoking i.e burning excess oil?

Another thing is from time to time the car judders under acceleration if it is driven around local alot...could this be down to the dpf or possibly maf?

my car is a octavia vrs 2007 57 tdi with the dpf feature with 35k on the clock
