I've got a good deal on an APR 3" Jetta Catback kit and was wondering if it fits the MK2 VRS.

Does anyone know or can comment on what I might need to change to make it fit?

I already have a 3" Downpipe and cat.

Dont think so. The vRS has the spare wheel well in the way.

At the risk of sounding like an asshole, I just got a call from the APR Dealer who told me that the Jetta and the Octavia have identical Cat Back and that I should check my sources regarding the spare wheel.

He sent me this picture to make it clear:

For some reason I keep getting misinformation every time I ask a question here.

Same thing happened to me in this thread when I asked about Brake lines for 3.2 Quattro Brakes and someone told me they are the same as R32 which was totally bogus, they have complexly different lines and I actually have a pair of R32 Lines that don't fit and I can't use, not to mention the fact that this whole thing cost me a lot of money because the garage charged me extra for taking apart the brake system twice!

Guys If you don't know the answer or you are not sure about the answer, please don't replay just for the sake of replaying because some people actually relay to your answer and get screwed over if it's wrong.

To be fair he only said he didn't think so but I'm not sure where he thought the spare wheel was located on the Jetta.

To be honest, you had only received one reply to your question and that was obviously only an opinion. If we all took a single opinion as absolute truth we would all have incorrectly purchased articles lying around our garages/gardens etc. In fact a lot of us wouldn't even be on this forum because we would not be driving Skoda's.

If you do get the Jetta Zhaust let us know if it fits for future reference please.

As I dont get many Jetta's coming through the door, I assumed they had the same rear floor pan as the golfs. Sorry for the mistake.

Looks like you should have just asked APR is the first place!

No harm done, APR don't get many Skodas so they weren't sure initially hence the question raised here, Not to mention the fact that there are about 17 VRS's in Israel, it's a rare car here.

I'll post the pics next week when I start the build, then we will know if it really fits :p
