Air/pollen Filters

Featured Replies

Are the Air/pollen filters easy to change

Next daft question "Where's the Pollen filter??"

Changed mine about 3 weeks ago, easy apart from the the fact you have to do it upside down with a torch - no tolls needed.

Mine is on the passenger side, under the glove box / footwell, you will see 2 plastic wing nuts (?) unscrew these and pull back (gently) the foam cove (do not pull this out!) just fold it back toward the passenger seat and stick it to the glove box with a bit of tape.

Then slide the plastic cover & remove it.

Then puls (gently!) the old pollen filter & note which way it came out and reverse above to fit new one!

Job done!

5/10 mins

Jerseyman is correct - a very easy DIY. Instructions are also included on the box mine came in.

It's also worth pointing out that EuroCarParts (as an example) will sell you a Pollen filter, plus an Air filter and fuel filter for the same price as a main dealer will charge for changing just the pollen filter - that is, about 35 quid!

Have to say that you can get a very good deal on genuine VAG parts on ebay. Rainworth Skoda in Mansfield have a shop there.

Got a full service kit (oil/air/pollen/fuel filters and a new sump plug) for about £45 Also do longlife oil for about £30.
