Fabia vRS Exhaust System Warning Light...

Featured Replies

Gents, the Exhaust System fault light has come on on the dash. I've checked all brake and tale lights and they are working. After searching on here that is what I presumed it would be but alas it wasn't that easy. Any other ideas?

Car went into Volkservice in Blackpool today for a cambelt and I got them to check this out on the diagnostics machine (Ross-Tech), turned out it was a 17068 Glow Plug Control Module fault... they reset it and it seems fine now...

Hi guys I came across this fantastic forum as I have the same problem with my lovely 06 vRS. My concern is that I'm not going to get a chance to get it into a garage before monday but I need to drive it to work. It's only a 20 min drive but I am concerned whether I would be doing it any damage!

The car runs fine apart from this light.... and being a girly, I'm a bit clueless about this sort of thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you lovely people!

For what it's worth, I ran with mine on for a few months and I couldn't be bothered to get it looked at. I'd imagine it should be ok to drive though - if it were mine I would, unless I could here any bad noises or anything.

Turned out the ERG valve was clogged up, and giving bad readings which the car didn't like.

Thanks for such a quick response!

I did think that it might be ok, so long as I didn't thrash it out on the M4! :smirk:
