Handy tip: how to access .pages files on a win or linux pc

Featured Replies

Apple's fancy gadgets cause us ordinary people a lot of trouble. The latest is the weird .pages format that won't open in any civilised program. But there's always a loophole B)

Save the file (e.g. document.pages) Rename it to document.zip and unzip it. You'll find a folder named QuickLook that contains (1) a .pdf version of the document (called Preview.pdf), and (2) a .jpg image of it (Thumbnail.jpg).
