Fabia 1 vrs speaker upgrading

Featured Replies

Ive upgraded my head unit to a Sony CDX gt640ui but i still dont like the sound coming from the stock/OEM speakers. can anyone recommend a really good set of front speakers as im aware they need to be quite slim to fit in the door cards?

I fitted these Alpines to my 2nd Fabia and was pleased with the sound improvement they brought. Excellent value for money in mind, as they also included upgrades for the front tweeters.

Oh, and they fit in the doors too! Just remember to buy fitting adaptors too (labelled as Golf adaptors on the CAD site I think).

Also think about adding some sound deadening to the doors. That made a big difference too. And also think about disconnecting the rear door tweeters, as these tend to sound out of place with upgraded fronts.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Does anybody know if the mk4 golf speakers will pop straight in without the need for the adapter kit??

they also included upgrades for the front tweeters.

I find myself extremely tempted by these speakers. Do the tweeters fit where the existing ones are by the mirror or is a little creativity required?
