I haven't had any problems with the front brake sticking on your car no. :D

Have had a few sticky calipers before now. Best strip it down and check if its the caliper, sliders or might just be the pads stuck in the carrier.

lol not bad lol i have had the piston out two months ago as it stuck then too it looked in good order sliders are all clean and well serviced so god knows :'( :dull: might try a new piston in the caliper and a change o fluid see if that helps

Was pad worn at a taper? That can encourage the piston to jam.

i dont think so they looked ok when i had them out

If you have already had an issue with the caliper then I think you would bebest getting a recon exchange. There could be wear/damage in the bore causing the piston to stick.

had a similar issue with my old Cavalier some years back, IIRC it turned out to be the brake servo vacuum unit partial failure

oh that sounds fun and not cheap :'( :'( :'( cheers guys for the help

Another thing I have seen in the past is internal collapse of the flex hose to the caliper. Unlikely on such a relatively young car - but check the hose for damage or twist.

it was fun, as i'd just done 1000 miles touring the Highlands & THEN the dealer said if it had failed my brakes could have locked :o

Fortunately, covered under warranty. It was the second & last failue of any componant (other than wear & tear) in the 14 years i owned 'The Cav'
