Elegance with Nexus satnav fitted. Any good?

Featured Replies

Going to look at elegance tomorrow that has this fitted. Can it be connected to usb? and is it any use anyway??

Nexus is the columbus predecessor, its quiet basic in comparison to the columbus but you can still get the maps and update it.

Ta Mike,

Where would the aux socket be on a 56 model?

My aux socket is in the box under the arm rest.

Spent the last hour going through old posts!!

Before MY 07 there is no aux socket fitted seemingly.

So given that the one I am going to see is a 56, doubt its got one!

My 06 has an aux, so I would think a 56 would have one too. The phrase to look for is 'jumbo box'

when you go to look at it take an ipod with an audio lead to test it. I seem to remember that the MFD2 /nexus didnt have the aux port wired in from the factory whereas it did on the stream.

ah yes, cheers mike. knew someone had done this but couldnt remember who :)

Hi Guys,

My 57 plate Skoda Octavia vRS has a Nexus fitted. I tried an iPhone in the aux port to play music but no signal picked. I also tried to take the cd out from the front but it wouldn't eject.

What I would like to ask is that, is the navigation cd a sealed system. I tried shoving a credit card in and it seems to be sealed. I wonder if it's an after market system installed afterwards.

Any info about it would be appriciated.
