Dunno if they are still on offer but Halfords were doing one at half price for £40. I have done my entire back yard with it so on for about 4 hours without a break and no problems....

just checked, yep still on offer:

Aldi have had a powercraft one floating around the stores for the last few weeks.

Unsure how good it is. I have the old powercraft one, the same as Baker 21 uses and that is fantastic.

Don,t think that the new one is made by the same people for them, does not look as sturdy, but I am sure it still comes with a three year warranty.

It was one of their special offers, but my local store still had plenty for sale last weekend.

Hi Will,

I have the Aldi one above and it does the job quite nicely - no issues with it for that price.

Last time i was looking - Simon aka Baker21 recommended the Nilfisk range at Argos.

Hope you get sorted

Cheers,

Ste.

How can you be on a small budget your BTP........................emoticon-0144-nod.gif

....so at least tell us what you ended up buying?!?

Or will be get a full write-up on the first detail with your new toy in action!

Nilfisk are good - reasonable price and great performance. Cannot recommend Karcher - had three and all were a disappointment.

I bought a Hozelock 100 Compact Pressure Washer from B&Q. Comes with two different types of lance and a detergent bottle attachment (can anyone tell me if this would be suitable to use with Snow Foam??) and I see it is back to the price I paid for it. Hozelock

Pretty sturdy and does the job fine.

The kings of the small budgets!

Edit: Just ordered the Nilfisk one, should be here tomorrow. Not sure when I'll be using it mind you. Need to buy a foam lance connecter thingy now.

You really need a specific foam lance. Bit pricey but worth it imho. You need one to get the right consistancy in the foam. They're adjustable unlike the ones that come with washers and have much bigger bottles. HTH

My Nilfisk arrived yesterday. Just bought a lance connector for my foam bottle online but hopefully will get a little use out of the machine this weekend. Top marks to Screwfix who gave free next day delivery despite me ordering at about 5pm. Very impressed. Wish more detailing companies did free postage, paying for it is such old hat and makes things just overly expensive.

I bought a Nilfisk 100 from Screwfix and a foam lance from Clean Your Car, used the combination for the first time on Saturday, works a treat!
