hi, not to sure if this is in the right place but here goes, my partner has a 1.416v mk4 golf, and the engines is shot, now i have an engine out of an octy its a 1.6 16v i no it fits in as the octy uses the golf floor plan, but what about the wiring?will i need to swap the loom and ecu ect ect? thanks for any help and sorry if iv asked this in the wrong section

The engine from the octavia was never used in the golf as far as I know so it could be fun. You'll need to get the immobiliser in the dash recoded if you swap the ecu (which I expect you will need to).
