Anyone have a photo of an Octavia VRS rear debadged OCTAVIA

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm thinking of taking the OCTAVIA wording off the boot on my VRS, so just the VRS logo underneath is left, but I want to know what it looks like.

Does anyone have a photo of a car with just the VRS part of the badge and the OCTAVIA lettering removed?

Thanks,

Dan

This is my FL vRS, don't know if it helps:

Just realised the facelift model uses a different vrs badge. Looks really good. Maybe I'll pull both the Octavia and vrs badges off and get hold of a new vrs badge to stick on.

Yours look really good like that.

sorry, I hadn't read your post properly until posting this pic.

I hate the new octavia font and think with just the vrs badge it looks a lot less cluttered

Im not keen on the octy font and thinking of updating it to the new FL version - anyone done this if so how much did the stealers want for the new badges?

Seems that link didn't work!

This is mine:

Now I've had a good look at it, I think I will remove OCTAVIA and leave just the VRS part on the bootlid. Should make it look a little less cluttered. B)

Thanks for the photo. Your car looks great in white. I think it look s good with just the VRS badge. I only have a rubbish low light mobile photo, but managed to poorly photoshop it with some naff photo editing software I found on my work machine. At the weekend I'll get some proper photos and edit them on my iMac, but these will do for now...

I've got 3 hands in that last photo!!

PS. DanceMaster, I'll have a look at how you hotlink a FlickR photo later when I'm not at work. It's not as easy as Picasa!

Ahh, found out, if you click on the photo it takes it to another page with a black background and the photo. Then click on "all sizes" at the top and it opens the photo up yet again in a different screen. This screen then allows you to right click and go to "Properties". From here you can copy the direct link to the photo....

PS. Were silver roof bars an option? They look really good but I've never seen them before.

Thanks for the tip about the link. Will have to try it later.

I did the same as you with Photoshop and using P/shop even tried the vRS badge in different positions on the tailgate.

I took the roof bars off and had them sprayed silver, after doing the front grilles white I thought having black bars on a white car just didn't look right.

There are some more pics. up on Flickr

Oh right, interesting about the roof bars. Do you ever put anything on them? I'm considering painting mine anthracite but worried the paint would scratch or flake up as I use my roof rack a lot for bikes, windsurfs and kayaks etc.

My roof bars a just for decoration ! I would think it may be best to keep them original, as you say the paint may scratch if anything is secured to the bars. Even if you use some form of protection the security of the fitting may be compromised. Just imagine, under heavy braking your bikes bouncing off the bonnet !!
