My Vrs has just returned from its fourth visit to the dealer to have a persistant, rattle coming from the front passenger door fixed, and guess what they haven't fixed it. I've traced it to the door handle ( The one you pull shut) if you press on it the rattles stops. how do i take the top half of the handle off, so that a can see if this cures it?

I take it you mean the part with the electric window switch, in which case, you can slide the lower bit and it should then lift off. You can lever off the top part with a screwdriver.

mine does that too but its only quiet its the only rattle i have left

My Rover 100 doesn't rattle as the previous owner has glued (!!) everything down - this appears to nclude allsorts, speaker covers, radio mount, very interesting.

Hopefully you'll find it, might just need a rubber washer or summit simple like that, you never know
