Hi. Have Octavia SLX TDi W reg 2000.

Called the AA today as it would not start - it was running fine before. It will run for about a second then cut out. AA guy, after consulting the all knowing computer he attached, said that it was showing a EDC fault. He thought the sensors were OK and also noted that he thought the fuel pump may be in the tank. This all sounds very costly. Is it? Thanks

Think what you might be refering to is known as the lift pump!
