Featured Replies

Evening all ,I'm contemplating again to go down the REMAP route , previous car I went with APR which unfortunately don't use the company I used in the past .

I've looked at the Map for my Vrs . http://www.custom-code.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1594&Itemid=239

Or Revo

Octavia Petrol

Stock Bhp Stock Ibft Revo Bhp Revo Ibft Trial Stage 1 Stage2 Stage 3

2.0T FSI 200 207 260 285 yes 499 549 599

I presume mine is an Fsi Engine as an 06 plate .

Can any of you help me make the right decision , also I will be going down the exhaust route I would truely like a blue flame but so far I've not been persuaded , Miltek ( due to the cost ) not being a tight a*** but I want to watch that the pennys get spent right :giggle:

TFSI petrol engine ,downpipe, try Pipewerx good quality,as for remap cant comment on your choice as i have stage 2 Sharkperformance ,its the business emoticon-0148-yes.gif.

Take it there is a horror story to follow , I looked at them because they are on my door step in stoke ? Just wish shark would do a test trial like APR but Ben said they don't so hey ho better get saving ,

Pipewerx look just like what I want any feedback ????

Bought mine of janner_sy and it is a quality bit of kit,no fitting issues at all as it has the required reducer fitted so goes straight onto original cat back.It gives a deeper note but not intrusive inside the car just a nice subtle change and a noticeable increase in power even with standard map .

REVO ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!! Back up is second to none and there product is awsome.

I used Revo a couple of times before on previous cars - so a natural choice when I wanted to remap my vRS TFSI. An added bonus is that a fairly local Skoda agent was also a Revo agent and they were doing a discount at the time. Bit of a no brainer really. Never been anything other than totally satisfied with Revo remaps.

DONT GO CUSTOM CODE i wont go to any company unless i see lots of excellent reviews, feedback, and no dodgy issues or feedback.

With that in mind i say go REVO; no other company comes close for adjustability. they are always the top performers in comparison to the competition, they can be tailored to suit every individual car by both the tuner and or the customer after having it installed. Dead simple to use. and with a huge support network of dealers around the UK

Thats a pretty impartial recommendation as well as on my vRS i ran bluefin at stage 1, 2 and 2+, then swapped to shark perofrmance stage 3, then 2 and 1 before selling up. Ive driven lots of TFSIs now with APR, JABBA, REVO, Shark performance and Bluefin at a variety of stages and tune. Revo has always stood out tbh

Nice one cheers for the Info , seein as your the man in the know how ,exhausts for the subtle but noticeable increase in sound ,don't want to be chavvy but a nice tick over rumble and a nice yet agin subtle move out of the way when the loud pedal is pushed :giggle:

which direction would you point me in ( budget may come in to the equation ) i.e not thousands

You can't really go wrong with a Milltek on the exhaust front.

Oh yeah and I'll second the warning about Custom Code.

Whats the difference between resonated and none resonated , my uncle has an R32 with a none resonated system , yeah I know the octy would never sound like his because of the engine difference . but it sounds to die for , b4 the answer comes well buy an R32 then , totally unpractical for a family man plus the wife would rip me a new one if i traded the octy in as she loves and drives it more than me :(

wouldn't a lets say for example a powerflow one be the way forward ???????? I'm totally lost on this front so all the help and advice I can get would go a long long way

AFAIK the difference is resonated has intermediate and back box non res just has the back box.

danke schon !

danke schon !

if your not after the noise, just get yourself a performance dwnpipe.

Miltek, blueflame(think they have gone bust though), and pipewerx are all good. Me personnaly i wouldnt do the cat back again as it brought very little other than noise to the equation. Alll the flow restrictions are in the standard DP so swap that and your off with the fairies

For a downpipe budget >£500. The cat back whih you dont need is similar in price. That said, the miltek resonated Full exhaust system (circa £1k) isnt intrusive unless you welly it

Can you just purchase an uprated downpipe alone or is it best to get it with a new cat

The exhaust is split into 2 sections. the first part is the downpipe and Catalytic converter. This starts at the turbo and ends in the centre of the car. This is what you have above from miltek.

the 2nd part is the cat back part of the exhaust. This is essentially just the silencers and tail pies. starting in the centre and finishing at the bumper obviously.

Forge dont do exhausts mate.
