Hi, I imagine that you will get a different suggestion from every reply!

My own choice was Rockford Fosgate Audiophile series and I'm well pleased with them but whatever speakers you choose will benefit from a real time analyser so you can fine-tune to your own preference.

Money spent on a good set-up for your individual car will not be wasted.

My choice was Macrom M2S.61 but I would suggest as well Focal K2 power but it is more than twice more expensive.

I expected more replies tbh, plan is now changed, I'm not changing the tweeters, so just the carp paper coned mid in the front doors, recommendations on a good 'straight swap' replacement coax????

IM about to put some Hertz HCX165.3s in the front of mine - (earlier version of these http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hertz-hi-energy-hcx-165-4.html will upated on sunday when its done

I got them 2nd hand for £50 - a bargin!

as for the old speakers im Throwing them away I blew them while setting the system up - thought the amp for fronts had the HPF set correctly - but as i was setting up the subs (with a 30hz test tone) i couldnt hear the no doubt loud cries for help as they over excurted - whoops!

Are they good speakers though? (if your not running them from a fusion reactor )

Yeah they worked really well - very good for the money
