Has anyone backed up the contents of their hard drive on the Columbus system before?

I'm having a couple of niggles with the Columbus unit (freezing up about twice a week, losing mobile signal in strong signal areas), and the car is going in to the dealer next week for them to have a look at it. I've got about 9gb of music on the hard drive and wondered if there was any way to back this up and reinstate it into a new unit (in the event it's changed of course).

If not I'm resigned to copying it all back onto memory card a number of times.......

You can back it up to your computer using a 2.5" IDE > USB cable or whatever, but you need to totally dismantle the unit to get the drive out.
