Morning All,

I have an annoying rattle/vibration and I can't quite work out where it's coming from. (obviously you lot with all your experience will know what it is without ever being in my car :yes: )

It seems to be coming from the dash near the vent to the right of the steering wheel. and the same on the passenger side. Prodding and poking in certain places stops it for a minute or 2 but they it comes back.

I know it's really difficult to suggest anything but are there any common problems that might be the cause?

It's hard to know if it's the same sound I had but try the following just in case it's the same thing. Mine made the sound when driving on an uneven road as the chassis flexes a little.

Open the bonnet and look at the hinges, on the top side of the hinge there are two small lumps of rubber/plastic (one at either side of the car) to support the hinge once the bonnet is shut. If you twist them 90deg they come out without braking so you can put them back if it is'nt them. Once these were removed my rattle stopped. If you look at the lower side of the hinge you will see where they rub so you could lube that area if you don't want to remove them. Fingers crossed it's them.
