Fabia Windscreen Washer Level Sensor

Featured Replies

After topping up the windscreen washer twice in a week the orange warning light has appeared once again, I checked the reservoir tank Iv noticed the water is dripping slowly but the tubes are still connected its leaking from the bit where the 2 tubes connect, (cylinder bit)

It takes 2-3 days before going dry I rarely use the washer, but with winter coming up its needed more often.

Anybody know how much the part number and cost is? or is there some cheap DIY fix??

Thanks

That will be the washer pump then.

Washer pump? it is squirting water it does work when full, but just leaking :(

Sounds like its leaking from the valve on the bottom of the pump if there are two pipes on it, and yes it will leak from there even if its not squirting at the time.

The pump has a gasket between it and the bottle, if it's this that's leaking then the part number is 443 955 465 (Gasket)

Or maybe just drain the bottle, use silicone sealant to seal the pump, then refill?

The windscreen washer pump (connected to the bottom of the washer bottle).

If the pump still works but it's leaking around the pump, I would just buy a new gasket (part number in previous post above) and fit that as it will be pennies.
