Tonight I am one happy bunny - have just been and collected my new car - a 2006 silver Fabia vRS, with under 30k on the clock.

Had a great run back from Halifax with it too - managed 61.2mpg. How big is the grin on my face?

I did notice that it appears to have the usual water ingress problem in the rear footwells which will need dealing with. I'm sure Briskoda will come up trumps once more with a 'how to guide'. Then it will be time for a service and re-map...

Looking forward to many miles of happy motoring to come.

I have a 2014 diesel octavia estate 1.6 blk edition. Lately, and since service my mpg is alot lower than normal. I understand my car is old but recently ive noticed im using more fuel. Ive asked my usual mechanic and hes replied with the expected answer i thought hed suggest which is weather, tyres, speed, fuel prices and that mpg is never ro be trusted. Im not taking fuel prices into consideration as im seeing my fuel being used up more. Mpg today has been 34,on a route i normally use and get

Has anyone fitted a no shroud water pump to the tdi engine? If so, what was the part number of the pump you used? How did you go about stopping fault codes / engine lights and what did you do with the redundant electrical connector?

Recent bought a second hand 2025 elroq 85 edition trim (no packages) Trying to get my head round the lane assist feature. Skoda manuals don't explain it particularly well. I thought that it would happily keep my in the motorway lane, as long as my hands were touching the steering wheel..instead it kind of bounces me back and forth between the lines like a pinball before getting angry at me and telling me to drive in the centre of the lane. I thought that was your job, car! Anyway it acts more
