Blanked off switches

Featured Replies

i have a felicia 1.6 glxi and i was wonering what are the blanked off switches next to the hazard switch? Well waht are they on other models?

various gizmo's like the aircon/recirc and heated seat controls

I thought it was only seat heaters and headlight washers? The aircon and recirc switches are part of the heater controls (inbetween the dials) on mine.

From Felicia anglicky 08.96 - ( Would love to scan ,but might cause copy right probs) .

And according to Manual - head washers operate with windscreen wash ,when lights on .

yes you are quite right.. sorry

Oops, that wasn't meant to come across as a sarcastic know-it-all comment, apologies if it did. Reason being I have seen a photo from an east-European forum of one Felicia with aircon switches mounted in the aforementioned blanks, and you got me wondering if maybe that was a very early original installation or factory retrofit that apparently wasn't covered in the English documentation, rather than a DIY job as it seemed.

sarcastic?? eh?? i was thinking of the euro spec models as well....

On that score, my post was only to pass on the stuff in the handbook .Only difference between RHD & LHD on switches is that on LHD , the side/main light switches are transposed with the fog lights .But , to the rear of the gear lever sits a thumbwheel for sear heaters -controlling the seat/backrest ,as opposed to the dash ones controlling the front seats/supports .( Possibly on top of the range models)

Ah, just me getting confused then, I guess I'm too accustomed to inadvertently offending people so I tend to interpret terse responses that way :)

Interesting about the seat heaters - the '98 handbook for post-facelift models says where seat heaters are fitted, both the seat base and backrest are controlled by the thumbwheel and there's no mention of dash switches.

Who knows what combination of equipment in which country got a headlight washer switch but it's on the dash switches page of the parts list. As for the aircon question, I searched out that picture again and found it originated from the bottom of this page, where it turns out to be an installation of an aftermarket aircon kit in a further modified L&K (love the window switches!).

Problem with posting is that unless loading page with   etc- it's difficult to know what is meant . Anything written could be taken any number of ways . :p :p :bearhug:

yes, i can be terse at times... nevertheless if i were being offensive i'd be refering to you all as feckess rapscalions or something else equally spakespearesque... < is that even a real word?

Possibly ,non shakespeare, speak - I do like the " feckess rapscalions" term though -

That's exactly what my electric window and seat heater switches were like in my L&K felicia but I have seen the dash mounted switches in the parts catalogue before too.
