Has anyone got a pair of these?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220685851217

I'd prefer to just buy a new set and sell my old set rather than splitting them, they would look really cool but I don't wanna buy them if they're gunna be a poor bit or not OEM-like. Has anyone tried them?

Like most mods on here, it's been done to death !

And we do have a search facility on here by the way !!

I can think of 100 better ways to spend £100 on.

And we do have a search facility on here by the way !!

We do - but it's very hit'n'miss as to what comes up. Far better to do a site specific search on Google - just add < site:briskoda.net > into the search box along with your search term as usual.

As other members regularly state, the search facility on this site is curently not the best in the world.

As at 11:00 today, this was the only topic created by this member on Page 1 of the Fabia section - it's hardly overkill!

It would be a really good informative forum where no-one starts any new topics up...... :dull:

Id consider these or the drls leo had if i didnt have factory xenons

atleast he participates in starting threads youve started 2 since you joined in 2008

It's a mod that is becoming quite common, but like the LCR splitter, I think it suits the car regardless, particularly on black or silver cars :) I'd save your money and go down the DIY route though if possible. There's a very good guide on here.

The factory xenons can be split and painted in the same way :) It's not hard, just take your time, be gentle and thorough, and all should be well.

Boom! :giggle:

Well said!! If people are sick of reading the same thing, don't read it. Let the people who enjoy threads get on with it!!

oh snap!

Enough children!

I've not seen the attraction of this slight modification to the headlights and certainly don't think it's worth getting new ones - spend the £100 on something more useful...

Yeah it's shocking and I've never had any luck with it. I'll try Google in the future.

No but I am trying to get information before I spend £100 on something I've only seen a small photo of...

The auction says 99-03 'as fitted to the vRS', I phoned him up and he said they won't fit a vRS... Bad times. :(

Does anyone know where I can get a set?

You have a set in your car already! Get to work! :giggle:

Seriously all you need is some fine sandpaper, plastic primer, and some satin black in a rattle can. You could have them both done in about 1hr30. I used a heat gun to split them apart, just be cautious about how hot the plastic gets that's all, and they will slowly prise apart. Then do the same for putting them back together, a little heat will make the sealant go tacky and then bingo all done

If they are Fabia headlights, they WILL fit the vRS :)

I still vote DIY however, sleithykeithy is spot-on.

There has to be better colors than black?

Baby blue? (I'm serious)... Someone did bright green once..

I'd do a bold color my self but my cars stock and it would look a lil silly without other mods.

I still wish people would call this the "Eye Liner Mod" Cuz it is what you doing.. lol.. applying some lovely eye-liner to your car! hehe!

Out of interest, did you ask him WHY they wouldn't fit a vRS?

He said the headlights on a Fabia are different to the vRS and that they won't fit. I dunno how true that is but he said they're for a non-vRS Fabia.

My car is going into the bodyshop to have the whole front end removed so I wanted to just give him the lights to swap over, I didn't really wanna do it seperately, I'd sooner just buy them new and take my time wrapping them in Lamin-X.

Well it's not true - I wonder why he's saying that since he's clearly losing trade by doing so.

? Why not? Don't think that's true. The ones I got are exactly the same. They're in my vrs. Mines a '04

i tink the ebay seller mmay think every vr has xenons, cos obvs the lights are different as theyre projector but if you havent got xenons they should fit fine
