Which insurance companies insure remapped cars?

Featured Replies

Just looking around and getting quotes from comparison websites for my Octavia vRS which should at the dealers in the middle of December....so far the cheapest is around £370 with protective bonus. I was thinking of remapping it after 1000 miles or so but put this into the same comparison site and the cheapest quote was around £850-which is way too much to pay......does anyone recommend a particulat insurer who doesn't descriminate too much-I'm sure I read onthe forum that people were paying just £50 over their normal premiums.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated (I'm getting excited now cause its being built this week!)

Adrian flux, Chriss Knott, green light amongst others.

if you get a quote from each and then oplay them off of each other you will be very well off.

also work out the percentage power increase. thats what they normally grade the performance. say 240Hp=40hp gain =12% gain

Try Brentacre mate, they under-cut Adrian Flux by 90 quid and were only 35 quid more than Swiftcover(no mods declaired)

Car is mapped, KW shocks/springs, RARB, Miltek exhaust, etc

I think that s 20% !!

I got my cheapest quote this year through the RAC.

I found it on Go Compare who have the option for modifications.

I pay around £500.00 including business use,

you are correct sir, i shall now chastise myself for being a mong. and then il tear my A level Maths cert up as well :giggle:

Flux for me , not a huge increase for this year either

Going through this process at the moment - Graham Sykes cheapest by some margin so far, will give Brentacre a shot now you've mentioned them.
