This topic has come up hundreds of times lol.

by which I assume you mean remaps in general, not remaps with this specific company?

A matter of opinion as to whether spending hours obsessing over every last detail in your ebay adverts (something I have done in the past) when you've got a business to run 'speaks for itself'. I would say that 530 apparently very satisfied customers says a lot more, as even the most die hard cynic couldn't think they were all made up.

I had my Remap done by R-tech in Hinkley, which is just next to Leicester.

Very good guys there, Nick spent hours on the car custom mapping it on the rolling road to get the best out of it. Take good care and time on the car, not just upload the software and go.... (aka revo etc)

The only downside is they are a small team, and very very busy, so getting booked in for work is quite hard at times.

No I meant this company in particular, as alot of people were drawn in by the price, as you were. As to your comment about obsessing over every last detail, I noticed it as soon as I opened the page as its right in the middle of the page, nothing to do with obsessing over it, its pretty clear to see. Even so u say you own your own company, so you must be used to checking small print, yet you missed a piece of LARGE print, in the title of an advert, what does tha say lol.

I also said nothing about the reputation of the company so the '530 satisfied people' may be something to go on, but u obviously werent happy to go by this as u still asked about them on here! I was just simply pointing out that the deal is no longer valid.

You asked for an opinion on the company, I gave you one. If you dont want to accept my answer, dont, but dont ask questions and then argue with somebody who takes time out of there day to look at the ad, notice the mistake, and warn you of it before you go too far.

:Calm down everyone :)

I'd stick with one of the registered tuners on here. P-Torque get my vote

Im not trying to cause any arguements mate, but there was no need for him to speak like that when I was just trying to help him. I was trying to reach a similar conclusion to you and tbh u cant go wrong with any of the site sponsors, otherwise they wouldnt be sponsors lol.

Oh, well we can blame that particular misunderstanding on the search facility (or my attempts at using it) as searches for SP or S P returned no results.

As to your comment about obsessing over every last detail..............

I was talking from SP tuning's viewpoint - as in maybe they are not obsessing over every last detail in their adverts because they have got a business to run............

I noticed it as soon as I opened the page as its right in the middle of the page, nothing to do with obsessing over it, its pretty clear to see.

Yes, it is pretty clear to see, I had already noticed the offer date had expired myself prior to my first post asking if anyone had used the company, I just didn't realise it would be so important to mention it. Naturally if I contacted the company I would seek to obtain their services at the advertised price (my Fabia is not a VRS anyway, so their advert is not directly applicable, but as the company is local to me I was interested in any feedback from Fabia owners on here who may have used them)

Even so u say you own your own company..................

No I didn't - all I said was I had obsessed over detail in my ebay adverts in the past (when using it as a private seller)

I also said nothing about the reputation of the company

I thought that by saying

take another look at the ad, and specifically the Promotional Offer valid until... section, speaks for itself really

you were trying to suggest that they can't be much good, if they make such an apparently fundamental error in their Ebay Ad, or is that not what you meant?

dont ask questions and then argue with somebody who takes time out of there day to look at the ad, notice the mistake, and warn you of it before you go too far

I wouldn't consider it an argument, you gave an opinion that seemed to suggest you thought the company was one to avoid and your opinion seemed to be based purely on their advertisement, not based on any direct experience with the company . I gave a counter opinion based on the same advert and same lack of direct experience with the company.........

Im not trying to cause any arguements mate, but there was no need for him to speak like that when I was just trying to help him. I was trying to reach a similar conclusion to you and tbh u cant go wrong with any of the site sponsors, otherwise they wouldnt be sponsors lol.

Fair enough :)

Well i misunderstood ur wording of the business to run comment so forget that.

Where i said about the promotional offer I wasnt trying to suggest they were a bad company, just giving u a reason why I thought u shouldnt use them, because the offer is up, and their actual price may be a lot more, meaning ud be better off going for a site sponsor for example.

My experience of them is having read many topics about this very advert, and the obvious "you get what you pay for" comment from people in the past, topics that I presumed u hadnt seen, suggesting to me that they were to be avoided. Also the fact that the price is now possibly not the same as is advertised, which may have made me sound quite down on the company. Like i said I was trying to help a fellow Briskodian by giving u the information I had recieved from much more experienced people than myself in the past.

Well thanks for all the replies, now that I've worked out how to better search this site (answer do a site specific google search "site:briskoda.net s p tuning") and also search on "shires" I've found everything I was hoping for i.e. plenty of apparently happy customers including at least one who got the offer price after the expiry date.

Would love to go to go to Jabba or some other more celebrated tuner but really cannot justify spending more than a couple of hundred max. SP Tuning's offer (if still running!) is a nice alternative to a cheapo tuning box (one of which transformed my GLXTDI Octy and gave no engine reliabilty issues whatsoever over 60,000 miles).

Such a pity that the search facility on here is so limited - must get very boring for regular users to see the same topics come up again and again and it also so frustrating for a newer user like myself to know that the info is on here just very hard to find.

great site otherwise though!

Ye the google search is a lot better than the site search. I havent been on here as long as most but have seen this thread pop up from time to time hence my contribution to it lol. If you do go 4 the remap, let us know cause if the service is good and at that price, I wouldnt just be surprised, id be very tempted by one myself. But like u I would like to get some decent feedback first.
