Rear washer & carpet

Featured Replies

Two different topics but thought i'd just post one thread...

First off, rear wash/wipe, i have filled the washer bottle full, but still no water on rear window, took the bit off trim off at the rear seat, that bit is intact, also under the bonnet next to the abs unit i noticed an undone tube, pushed it back together as it looked like it should be together but still nothing, it might be this and i never connected it properly or is there any other things that go wrong?? i can hear the pump working...

Also, after fixing the carrier problem, what's the easiest way to dry the carpets, i'm thinking girlfriends hair-drier??

cheers

Front passenger wheel arch - just inside there is a connection. If you fire the rear wash you should see water dropping out of there if it's broken apart. If it has simply remove the 3 screws holding the arch liner in at the bottom and push it back together.

Simples. :)

If it had got as far as the tube going through the bulkhead, you'd have seen lots of water spirting out over that part of the engine bay - I did last winter. So if that was dry the problem lies nearer the source. As TriggerFish says, where's the water dripping out?

I've tried a hair-dryer on mine yesterday - after a lot of action with the nozzle of a wet'n'dry vacuum. However the hair dryer only really works on the surface layer and this morning it still felt damp especially when pressed down. I'm resigned to driving for a while with the heater on full directed downwards...
