Ive got some free new standard console bushes and wondered if it would be ok to fill the outer parts with sikaflex to strengthen them and tighten them up like the cupra bushes???

It's doubtful to make a difference. A lot of stress goes through those bushes, too much for something like that to hold. I imagine it would just squidge out of one end the first time you set off

New ones should have been superseeded to the Octavia II part voided bushes anyhow, if you have original type ones those are now defunct stock.

I can't see how having a try would hurt...in the past ive sikaflex filled a variety of vaux engine mounts to varying success
