Trying out the X10 for the first time

Featured Replies

Well, it has a camera a full 4x more MP than my actual CAMERA :D so I thought i would try it out. Work sent me on an errand down the road. When this road is Exmouth seafront at dusk, you cannot miss the opportunity to try out the camera.... First shot I took holding the phone, second with it sat on sea wall, hence it is a bit unlevel.....

Considering those are downsized to 1024x768 there's an awful lot of detail and tonal range in there.

Very impressive performance from a phone!

Top one is also an excellent photo too.

Top one was taken 10 minutes earlier so a little more light left (was approx 4.50pm I think)

I am no expert photographer - more of a point and click type, and hope for the best. One good thing about the X10 is the 8MP camera, but not having a proper flash is a pain. It just some pathetic little light on the back which does no more than really help you find the keyhole when you return home at night. :D

Quite good for a phone, and your photography skills have come

on a bit, no fingers or thumbs in shot :D

Its a fat-ass phone, so not much chance of covering up the lens luckily for me. :D
