How long ?

Hi

It better not move forwards or you could have problems with your 11 plate if, as I've been told, it has to be registered within 10 days of arriving at the dealer.

Must be nearly time for PAT to go. emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Good luck

Fred

Hi Fred,

yes taking PAT down to James on Saturday emoticon-0106-crying.gif Will miss driving a Monster, particularly as their forecasting several days of snow starting next week over here in the east :S However also very much looking forward to the arrival of Monster III, so mixed feelings on the current situation.

I have registered a car before in the first couple of days in Feb but anything after that, I just will have to hope for a little flex on any 10 day rule :S

Regards,

TP

Who on earth made that rule up - "10 days after arrival @ Dealer"?

Could only be a greedy dealer?

I think you'll find the dealer has to stick to this to be compensated by Skoda for holding the 17.5% VAT line. (the dealer essentially gets a refund from Skoda for the missing 2.5% but only if registered within 10(although I thought is was 14) days) I do not think this is anything official otherwise outside Skoda. I guess this is to stop dealers buying up loads themselves at the lower price and not registering them before selling on to punters with the higher 20% VAT charge.

Thanks Gazza!

Well that's a bit strong - given the many months some of us are having to wait!
