Fancy doing THIS in a Yeti????

Scarey stuff!!

I think I will stick to cleaning the inside with a vacuum!

As an aside, clearly there is an air intake on top of the screen, thats how the motor keeps going, but surely all the electrics get wet, fuel pump stops etc?

Revs must also be very high to stop water blocking the exhaust.

Some poor folks down in Cornwall doing that today with their everyday cars !!

Hope the insurers pay them out quickly so they get their houses sorted emoticon-0120-doh.gif

I am game for some off roading, but this is serious silly stuffemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I did wonder if anybody would do a snorkel for a SM.

As long as the engine is running it should keep blowing the water out. Rare to see any offroad vehicle with extended exhaust.

Only need a way for air to get in above the water line.

Agree with what CT says, and to be honest it isn't that difficult to waterproof all the electrics with some of the modern products

But would you really want to do that your your beloved?

Mike

I thought from the engine note that it was a diesel ( a conversion I realize) therefore at least with an older spec diesel (which would be more likely if converted) no worries re electrics.

simples .............all one needs is a snorkle

Wowy, thanks for that, its amazing. Thought I had 'done' wading, but obviously not. Some of the comments on the tube are interesting, re potential danger of such antics!

When I was repping for a company called Kent Industires we used to sell garage consumable, and one of the products was a brushable silicone grease. I had a customer who had built a 3.5ltre V8 LR for trialing and he used to use this product on the electrics of that. Somewhere I have a photo of him and all you can see is the top of the steering wheel, him and the rollcage, with a bow wave from him!!

Does no one remember Landrover driving a Defender along the bottom of the Thames??
