Dubmeister (Pressed Plates) Group Buy - Saving 33%

Featured Replies

Right, I wonder if they would let us take our V5's etc. into a local dealer to be faxed down to them then post them out? There is one in Cambridge which would be relatively straightforward for me to get to.

latest news is that documents need to be posted and she still hasnt giving me a code even though she said yesterday afternoon she would send me it once its setup, how long can it take to set this up?

instead of sending all my documents off in the post i will be taking it to my local dubmeister dealer and sorting it out from there.

I've just read through all 16 pages of the last group buy, it seems in July that Dubmeister were accepting emailed documents and it took forever to get off the ground.

They also don't start making the plates until they have 15 confirmed orders which have been paid for.

Do Dubmeister have other branches in the UK then?

Edit: just had a look on their website and found one not to far from where I work

They may not accept the discount code but may be able to verify our documents, I've just emailed Dubmeister to see if this is possible

ah ok, so instead of sending the documents go to the dealer to act on behalf of dubmeister themselves. i get it i think.

i don't know why has everything got to be so complicated.

do they not accept photocopies either then?

do they not accept photocopies either then?

No, the email reply I received stated - "We need to see the originals"

same....:(, is this going to be a major problem for anyone? because we cant afford to lose numbers as it is.

I'll wait for the reply, if they still want the originals then I'll bite the bullet and send them in :whew:

They accepted photocopies of mine for the last GB :wonder:

As I said earlier, Dubmeister were accepting emailed documents in July this year, seems things have changed

i'm going to see if i can go through my local dealer so i don't have to send them off, there's no way i would send my log book to anyone other than the dvla!

i'd rarther pay the extra 16 quid from the dealer.

That's me out then, Sorry guy's!

There's no danger I'm sending any original documentation to the other side of the country at this or any other time of the year!

Pity!

i don't understand why they need to be original documents. if i was wanting fake plates i wouldn't pay the money i'm

wanting to pay for pressed plates.

exactly. i will send a quick email letting them know we have people going to pull out unless we can email the documents or mail copies.

Because that is what the Law demands and if they don't tick all the right boxes in their Register they are leaving themselves open to a large fine, over £2k, plus the loss of their plate business. VOSA are clamping down!!

any updates?
