Drivers door lock

Featured Replies

My VRS has started playing up this week.

Ocassionally when I unlock car single press or double press, the drivers door want unlock(bit dosent come up), will unlock when opened from inside, or if key inserted in door lock.

Why?

Tried the search and it mentions WD40 somewhere, not that mechanically minded

IF IT IS THE BUTTON STICKING IN THE THE DOOR CARD THEN A BLOB OF WHITE GREASE WOULD BE BETTER

My lads had a number of lock related faults recently on his 2003 Classic (with central locking pack);

boot occasionally failed to unlock and all interior lights failed to work - control unit replaced

offside rear door occasionally failed to unlock (deadlock on emoticon-0120-doh.gif ) - lock replaced

boot lock started to play up again and the boot light stopped working - lock replaced

Fortunately all but the boot lock were covered by the warranty that came with the car when he bought it earlier this year. Also had the rear wiper motor replaced under warranty as it started wiping constantly even when off emoticon-0124-worried.gif
