I'm also having the decorative rear bumper trim fitted as well to protect the rear bumper.

I had that fitted and it looked very nice. Unfortunately, due to the digusting job the dealer did, it fell off four weeks after pickup, never to be seen again! :dull::o

Might not be the dealer, I bought a set of S/S sill covers and a S/S rear cover from a manufacturer in Germany the sill protectors stuck on no problem but I am on the 4th attempt to find an adhesive tape that will stick to the rear bumper plastic.

I think we got the sill covers and the boot lip protector from the same place. I found that the boot lip protector would not stick either, then thought that it might be because I use a self waxing car wash. So used a solvent cleaner, making sure it was plastic safe and it stuck first time. I was a bit unhappy that the front sill protectors are two piece rather than molded to the shape of the sill.

When I heard that SUK had released the sill protectors in UK, I ordered a set. Picked them up today and not very impressed for £70.00. As soon as we get some reasonable weather I'll take some piccys and you guys can decide, do I keep the rather nice brushed stainless one's or the expensive 'cheap plastic' Skoda one's.

As far as the template kit goes, 4 pieces of molded plastic to locate the sills for fitting, I tried them out in the showroom on one of the new 140 DSG 4X4's and found I can do the job just as well without. Saved £17.00.

Grey Gables are thinking of keeping them and lending them out if wanted.
