Exhaust system bore

Featured Replies

Milltek make their systems at a 2.5 inch bore. Is this what I should be after as I've seen Jetex I think with a 2.25 inch bore? I know on n/a engine (vauxhall . . . Again) for example a c20xe (redtop) gets massive gains from upgrading the 2.25 to a 2.5 inch bore exhaust. And this is tryed and tested by yours truly before the Internet attacks!

Maybe being a derv a won't get massive gains but will a larger bore help with bigger power in the future?

Thanks chaps

If it's on a Fabia then the exhaust gains are negligible from upgrading the standard one unless you want more/less/different noises.

duno but milltek is the best so i'd choose that anyway

Pointless, Why waste your money to get another 0.25 bore, when any aftermarket exhaust makes little if any difference at all compared with standard

So I may aswell use the standard system with a decat?

yes really, aslong as its mapped correctly for the decat.... otherwise you could have problems emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Until your running big power (250bhp+), then the exhaust isnt needed for extra power, and isnt really that restrictive. An exhaust on a diesel is mainly for a little extra noise and looks TBH.

Matt

i have a full milltek inc de-cat and i love it , she also has a revo re map , no idea if it gives any real advantage but it sounds awsome emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

imo it was worth every penny emoticon-0105-wink.gif
