Hiya

Just wondering if any of you have experienced an annoying whistling from the interior fan, this noise increases to a shriek as you increase the fan speed.

Is it something trapped on the fan housing or something? (before i go taking things apart) There is no noise when the air is not forced into the car (fan off). Tried the ole search but all i get is whistling turbos.

i had a similar problem, changing the filter resolved it for me.

There's probably a leaf or two caught up. Try removing the pollen filter (have a search on here for details) and clear out the housing.

Not unknown for the motor bearings to dry out, due to heat from the heater. Pollen filter is 1st thing to check though.

Thanks mate, Will have a go at doing this. Mines a little loud and keep hearing Leaves getting chewed up!
