Have taken delivery yesterday of my new Octavia Elegance 1.4Tsi and was surprised to find that the cd multichanger has now been taken from the spec. Ordered the vehicle mid August using brochure 06/10 that stated Bolero radio and 6 cd multichanger were standard on the Elegance spec.

Skoda appear to be in a no lose posistion regarding spec changes, think Skoda done the same a while back by removing the folding mirrors as standard.

Shame the dealer didn't inform me though.

Did you try putting 6 CD's into the bolero ?

I havent even used my CD part of the Bolero yet.. I got a 16gig SDhc card and use that only

my bolero takes 6 CDs

To be honest i never even thought of it.

Was expecting to see the multichanger in the boot like my old Octavia.

Maybe you do not realize this but those CD's can be filed with MP3's

If my memory serves me correctly an MP2 ripped @ 320Kbs - approx 5-6 mb

That should give you up to 120 songs per disc times 6 = 720 tracks t keep you happy

Indeed but the Quality goes down though.

320 is optimum for mp3 in the bolero.
