It protects to -70C. but I'd be happy with much less protection than that

Peel back the front label from the bottom right and it's all in there.

I seem to remember that 2 water to 1 screenwash is good to -16 but do check

I would think that the -70C will be with pure screenwash.

Probably 1 part screenwash to 4 or 5 parts water would be ok for temps above freezing and a bit stronger (1 s/w to 2 or 3 parts water) for lower temps - note that even when the solution is quite strong, because of the small diameter of the wash jets and tubing, the jets will still freeze a lot of the time even if the solution in the water bottle is still liquid.

I guess you are talking about Skoda screenwash.

As you can see from my observations about Halfords stuff, the new stuff have higher freezing points than the older stuff. Halfrauds ScreenWash

The last time I looked, their ordinary screenwash when diluted 1:1 only freezes at -2°C and Undiluted I think at -7°C which I'm sure you could complain to trade descriptions, as some places last year got much colder.

I thought you should always have screenwash in the water bottle even in the summer as it kills bacteria in the system.

It also helps clean the road crap off your windscreen.

I would imagine screen wash is like Car shampoo and does not effect wax or paint, so unless you use diluted washing up liquid it should be fine. As Dave said use it in summer to help clear muck, bugs etc and smells from bacteria.
