Memory seats

Featured Replies

We've sat in the SM for an hour or so going through the entire config. and finally got to the seats again.

We can't get them to recall or store a memory and wondered if the circuit board that stores the memory preset was actually working?

A dead givaway would be if someone out there could confirm whether the memory buttons should be lit at night? Our aren't and pressing them or trying to store settings gets no audible response whatsoever.

Would someone please confirm before it goes in for its first repair please?

Not lit at night on my Superb. Move the seat press and hold the number until a beep. Ignition must be on.

No beeps, no movement of the seat or the mirrors. Nothing.

Although this afternoon I got the mirrors to move a couple of times but not any more.

With me being 6'3" and the missus being 5'3" it's obviously a complete pain to have to wait for the motors to drive the seat in the correct position before I can even get my knees under the steering wheel!

Strange.. back to dealer I think!

Me too. Not to Rainworth though, it's a 250 mile round trip.

Local dealer should be able to sort it

It really begins to look as if this £500 option - electrically adjustable driver's seat with folding mirrors and memory function (which is what I understand the configurator to specify) - is a waste of money since important aspects of it are either missing or do not work. I await with interest any developments since I have added this to my exisiting order and with an 'administration fee' of a further £50 from the dealer used by DtD. If the option is as unsatisfactory as appears from the discussion so far, I shall cancel.

In addition, it will be extrememly useful to those with cars on order to hear from anyone taking delivery of a Yeti with this option as to whether the full function as described by Skoda works or not. I will email Customer Services, and urge others to do the same, asking for their explanation of the wording of the item in their 'configurator' which must constitutue an offer to supply and, therefore, be subject to the Trades Description Act.

I have memory drivers seat on my Passat and it really is worth persevering with.

On the Passat the seats and mirrors adjust when the drivers door is opened depending on which key His or hers) was used to unlock the car I am sure yours will be the same.

Good luck

You have to press the button without a number first, and then HOLD the respective numbered button untill it you hear the ping sound to save a position. Ignition on, or engine running.

Try to move forward the backrest. On the superb 2 there is a safety issue and the maximum angle between the backrest and the seatrest must be at ~110 degree.

Took it to the dealer and they just "re-coded" it, which I guess means re-flashed the program. All fine now

They can probably do it while you wait to be honest

Yes, dealer re-coded the seats today and now its flawless.

Tnx Dave!
